In recent days, police assisted by the Detention Services Agency, conducted coordinated inspections in various localities, including in Gozo – in Marsalforn, Xlendi and Rabat, as well as in Marsa, where 71 people were found living in the country irregularly.
They were been taken to a detention centre until their return process is completed. These inspections will continue with the aim of ensuring that persons living in Malta have valid documents and the necessary permits.
