The war in Iran has entered day six with attacks increasing and spreading across the region.
US President Donald Trump says he must be involved in picking Iran’s new leader. Reports that Ayatollah Khamenei’s son appears to be the favoured choice for new leader, the president said, “They are wasting their time. Khamenei’s son is a lightweight. I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodriguez] in Venezuela.”
Israel has launched more strikes against Iran as residents in Beirut have been told to evacuate the city.
The US claims to have sunk more than 30 Iranian ships.
