On Monday morning, in Valletta, Prime Minister Robert Abela, together with Minister for Culture, Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici and the management of Festivals Malta, met with Carnival participants and enthusiasts.
During the visit, the Prime Minister spoke with the participants and was able to see up close the artistic work they carry out voluntarily and with unparalleled dedication, to continue keeping alive the Carnival tradition that is part of our country’s identity.
At the St. James’s Ditch, Prime Minister Robert Abela noted the efforts made by the organizers together with the participants even during a time of challenges related to the bad weather.
Dr Abela also praised the work and thanked all the participants and the organizers for their dedication to holding these activities in the Capital City and also in Floriana in particular, for the enjoyment of the public and the tourists who visit us. The Prime Minister reiterated that the Government remains committed to continuing to support these initiatives that keep our cultural heritage alive.
