At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, President Donald Trump has told world leaders that the United States “will not use force” to take Greenland.
He said the United States had never asked for anything and never got anything.
“We probably won’t get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force,” Trump adds.
“I don’t have to use force, I don’t want to use force, I won’t use force”.
There was a sting in the tail, though, as he cautioned that the US wanted “a piece of ice for world protection”.
“You can say yes, and we will be very appreciative. Or you can say no, and we will remember.”
