The Ministry for Education, Sports, Youth, Research and Innovation notes the warnings due to wind and storms, which are persisting over our country in these days, as well as the announcement from the Gozo Channel that some trips may be cancelled or the service between the islands may be suspended.
Due to this situation, the Ministry for Education advises that due to the substantial number of Gozitan educators in these schools, tomorrow, Tuesday 20th January, Mellieħa Primary School, St. Paul’s Bay Primary School and Qawra Primary School will be closed and therefore parents/guardians of students attending these schools are being informed to keep their children at home.
Other schools across the country will be open as normal and during their normal hours. However, those parents/guardians who feel that due to the bad weather they should keep their children at home, these students will be considered excused for tomorrow only.
