On Tuesday afternoon, the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) were informed that a crew member on-board a supply vessel located approximately 32 nautical miles off Gozo, required immediate medical assistance.
The Malta Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) immediately dispatched an Armed Forces of Malta vessel to carry out a medical evacuation. The patient was safely transferred and, upon arrival in harbour, handed over to Mater Dei Hospital personnel.
