The Christmas in the Park event organised by the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Public Cleanliness yet again proved to be an annual success as thousands flocked to the Salina National Park over the past 10 days.
The 2025 edition featured new attractions, an illuminated pathway, an enchanted forest with lighting effects, children’s activities, and performances by local artists, bands, and choirs.
Environment Minister Miriam Dalli thanked the Ministry employees and the participating entities for the organisation whilst continuing to push sustainability efforts. “Bringing people to our parks is a commitment we share throughout the year, especially during the festive season. These events help us bring communities together as we continue to promote environmental awareness,” the Minister said.
Minister Dalli encouraged everyone to continue to make full use of the open green spaces across the islands during these holidays.
Visitors engaged with interactive activities and information stands hosted by organisations including Saving Our Blue, the Directorate for Sustainable Development, Ambjent Malta, the Environment and Resources Authority, Circular Economy Malta, the Energy and Water Agency, Project Green, Wasteserv, the Water Services Corporation, the Public Cleaning and Maintenance Division, and the Regulator for Energy and Water Services.
