US plans Mandatory Social Media Screening for all foreign tourists

The United States is considering new border security measures that would require all foreign visitors to undergo mandatory social media screening before entering the country.

According to a notice published Tuesday in the Federal Register, travelers would need to provide details of their social media accounts from the past five years.

The proposal also calls for submitting email addresses, phone numbers, and contact information used during the same period, along with personal data on family members, including names, addresses, and dates of birth.
