
Labour Party will be hosting, for the first time, the General Council of the Socialist International.
This was announced at a press conference addressed by the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party and Vice President of the Socialists and Democrats, Alex Agius Saliba, and the International Secretary of the Labour Party, John Grech.
This General Council will be bringing together all members of the Socialist International, which amount to around 130 Socialist parties from around 100 different countries around the world.
The discussion in Malta is expected to focus on two main themes, the first ‘Leading together making a difference in Government’ and the second ‘Leading together multilateral cooperaton for peace building’.
