As talks between US and Ukraine continue to delve into the US proposed peace deal aimed at ending the war with Russia, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that the main problem remains. Vladimir Putin’s demand for legal recognition of Russian-occupied territories in eastern Ukraine.
After US and Ukrainian officials convened in Switzerland on Sunday to discuss ending the war with Russia, officials from both sides reported “progress” and an intention to continue working. However, major issues over territory and security remain.
It is believed that Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump with meet to try to move discussions on the US Peace Deal but no date has been announced for that meeting.
