During his Budget address, Prime Minister Robert Abela said a new tender for a fourth Gozo Channel ferry would soon get government approval while a new master-plan for the regeneration of the Grand Harbour will be launched for public consultation early next year.
Another major announcement concerned government workers employed by private contractors who would be getting a pay rise, bringing them level with public sector workers.
