BUDGET 2026: A package for families Prime Minister tells supporters

Budget 2026 a package for families: PM Robert Abela

Speaking at a Labour Party meeting in Gzira on Sunday morning, Prime Minister Robert Abela said BUDGET 2026 was “a package for families”.

He said the Labour government has allocated €1.1 billion for next year, three times more than previous Nationalist administrations used to allocate.

The government, he said, had managed to reduce taxes while increasing its revenue, which in turn was distributed among the people. Robert Abela contrasted the achievements of his government with that of the United Kingdom where the government was saying taxes needed to be raised.

Robert Abela was critical of the Nationalist Party, saying they had failed to take part in discussions on Vision Malta 2050, although this claim was later disputed by the PN.
