A 19-year-old man was arrested on Friday night after being caught driving dangerously in Pembroke.

At around 10:30pm, during patrols linked to Halloween activities, officers noticed a BMW speeding and driving recklessly along Triq Tobruk – an area where children and teenagers were crossing.

When ordered to stop, the driver sped off through residential streets, even along ‘one way’ roads. The car was later found abandoned near St George’s Bay, but the driver was caught and arrested shortly after.

He is expected to be charged in court later today.
