Partit Nazzjonalista Leader Alex Borg has ended his official visit to Brussels, that was organised by the PN’s Head of Delegation to the European Parliament David Casa.

The visit was held as part of the Partit Nazzjonalistas efforts to strengthen its presence in European politics while continuing to build strong relations with the leaders of the European
Peoples Party (EPP).

On Wednesday morning, Alex Borg addressed the EPP Parliamentary Group Meeting in the European Parliament. Alex Borg stressed the Partit Nazzjonalista’s commitment to restoring good governance, respect for the rule of law and a serious and competent leadership that works for the people’s benefit.

He thanked European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, as well as PN’s Head of Delegation David Casa and MEP Peter Agius for their continuous work for Malta and for how they are strengthening the PN’s voice at the European level.

Following his intervention, the PN Leader held several bilateral meetings with MEPs, discussing themes related to work and employment, civil society and the protection of fundamental rights.
Later, Alex Borg met European Fisheries and Oceans Commissioner Costas Kadis, discussing the economic and environmental potential of the fisheries sector in Malta and the need for European policy to continue to support small Mediterranean countries.

This official visit to Brussels – the first one for Alex Borg – also took place in preparation for the EPP Summit next week which the Partit Nazzjonalista Leader is expected to attend for the first time.
The Partit Nazzjonalista delegation led by the PN Leader in Brussels also included Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Beppe Fenech Adami and the PN’s International Secretary Beppe Galea.
