A man is reported to have lost his life while swimming in Ramla l-Ħamra beach, in Gozo. The accident happened at around 1.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The man, believed to be a Polish national, was given first aid at the scene by the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps lifeguards, as well as a medical team from the Gozo General Hospital. The victim was certified dead a short time later.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
