Malta’s Disciplined Forces come together in Valletta for special celebration for the Jubilee Year 2025

The Disciplined Forces of Malta – the Armed Forces of Malta, the Police Force, the Correctional Services Agency and the Civil Protection Department came together in Valletta for a special celebration for the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025.

As part of the Jubilee festivities, members of the disciplined forces gathered at St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta for a Solemn Mass presided over by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna. The liturgy saluted the service of military, police, security and emergency and rescue personnel, recognising them as agents of peace, protection and hope in Maltese society.

The Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, declared by Pope Francis, is a year dedicated to fostering spiritual renewal, forgiveness, solidarity, and hope at a time when the world is facing conflict in different parts of the world. The celebration dedicated to members of the disciplined forces highlights their essential role in safeguarding national security, maintaining order, and serving the community in times of need.

The Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment expressed gratitude for the courage, professionalism, and dedication of Malta’s disciplined forces. “Our country’s disciplined forces live the values ​​of service and sacrifice. Their work ensures that the Maltese people can live in safety and dignity, and today’s celebration rightly honours their contribution to a safe country for Maltese and Gozitan families,” said the Minister.
