Passengers departing from Malta International Airport are now permitted to carry liquids in containers of up to two litres, as well as electronic devices, in their hand luggage without the need for removal at the central security checkpoint.
This development follows the European Commission’s recent re-authorisation for the full use of EDS C3 security scanners.
Given that the 100ml liquid restriction has not been uniformly lifted across all EU airports, passengers are advised to check security regulations at their destination airport for their return journey.
