Regeneration in the social housing sector in Gudja
Minister for Social and Affordable Housing Roderick Galdes announced the completion of the regeneration project in the social housing sector in Gudja. Through this project, which was carried out on two blocks with a separate entrance, more families are enjoying a renovated residential environment.
Details about the project were given during a visit by Minister Galdes, who explained that the work on this project was carried out with an investment of more than €100,000. He said that the Government is carrying out these types of interventions because it believes that there should be continuous investment not only in homes, but also in the quality of life of the families and communities that live in them.
“Regeneration projects like these make a tangible difference in the daily lives of families living in these communities, in this case in the Gudja community,” said Minister Galdes. He also recalled that the Gudja project is just one in a series of regeneration projects that have been carried out or are still ongoing, including in Mosta, Ta’ Giorni, Żejtun, Ħamrun, Santa Luċija, Paola and Tarxien.
These projects are being carried out by the Housing Authority, in collaboration with Housing Projects Solutions Ltd.
Minister Roderick Galdes concluded by saying that these projects are testament to the Government’s vision and commitment to raising social housing standards and continuing to strengthen the well-being of families.
