A plane carrying Russian officials has landed in Alaska ahead of Friday’s meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
While Ukraine will no doubt be on the agenda, it is thought that economic issues may form a major part of discussions between the two leaders.
With less than twenty four hours before the two men meet face to face, Donald Trump has hinted that he thinks a deal can be done in Alaska. The Kremlin is less optimistic saying it would be a “mistake” to try to predict the outcome of the talks.
