Weeks of surveillance in connection to a drug trafficking network operating in Marsa led to the arrest of a man and a woman.
Investigations revealed that a garage in Qormi was being used to store and prepare drugs. A search of the garage uncovered more than 270 sachets containing substance suspected to be cocaine, as well as other substances suspected to be heroin and various drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Both individual pleaded not guilty to the charges when they appeared in court and were remanded in custody.
