Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri officially opened the 66th edition of the Malta Trade Fair at the MFCC Ta’ Qali.
The fair, which has become an annual fixture on the Maltese summer calendar, continues to showcase the creativity and resilience of the local business sector. During his speech, the Minister stressed that
“The Malta Trade Fair is a living testament to a dynamic economy that year after year adapts to the times, and continues to grow in the quality, diversity and experience it offers. This fair demonstrates not only the strength of Maltese businesses, but also how our economy is developing in a resilient and innovative way. Today, with a stable financial foundation and strong resources, we can steer this growth strategically – where the quality of life of the citizen comes at the centre of our vision. As a Government, we will continue to turn this growth into concrete opportunities for our businesses, so that together we can move the future of our country forward.”
The Minister made reference to the Malta 2050 Vision, recalling that the government is committed to driving growth that is not only measured by GDP (Gross Domestic Product), but also by the quality of life. The Maltese economy is based on a strong financial foundation that allows the government to focus on new strategic directions, by directing economic activity in a way that builds on this foundation and reflects the goals of the common good.
The Malta Trade Fair remains open until July 6 and is offering a unique experience with more than 140 exhibitors, where trade meets culture and innovation under one roof.
