As part of the engagements of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of Europe, Prime Minister Robert Abela attended the unveiling of a Horse sculpted by Maltese artist Austin Camilleri.
The Horse in Broglie Square in Strasbourg is part of the cultural calendar of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of Europe which also included a performance by Kor Malta at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg, which commemorated the Maltese heritage intertwined with the European one.
Also in Strasbourg was the presentation of a commemorative stamp commemorating the Maltese Presidency and the sixtieth anniversary of Malta’s membership in the Council of Europe.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism Ian Borg, Head of the Maltese Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and Government Whip Naomi Cachia and Malta’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe Francesca Camilleri Vettiger.
