Army safely remove World War 1 unexploded bomb

Army bomb disposal experts removing unexploded WW1 shell
On Wednesday, the Ammunition & Explosives Squadron of the 3rd Regiment, Armed Forces of Malta, was alerted to the discovery of a pre–World War I unexploded ordnance (UXO) uncovered during excavation works.
A team from the EOD, IEDD & Divers Platoon was deployed to investigate the UXO, which was identified as a 5.5″ British Armour-Piercing Solid Shot. It was safely removed from the site, ensuring the continued safety of the surrounding area.
