New open space in Siġġiewi in memory of Mirabelle Falzon

Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri

A new 2,570 square metre open space has been inaugurated in Siġġiewi, in memory of Mirabelle Falzon — a young girl from Siġġiewi who unfortunately lost her life in a tragedy a year ago. Mirabelle was employed by INDIS Malta, the entity responsible for this project, in collaboration with the Siġġiewi Local Council and the National Social Development Fund (NDSF).

During the inauguration, Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri spoke about how this project reflects the government’s commitment to creating more green spaces at the heart of our communities. This commitment is also part of the fourth pillar of Vision Malta 2050, which aims to expand open spaces for Maltese and Gozitan families while protecting the environment and agricultural land.
