This morning the AFM launched an extensive search for the diver who has been missing since Tuesday.
The Armd Forces of Malta Air Wing used a Britten-Norman BN-2T Turbine Islander AS9819 on patrol to the south of the island. The diver was reported missing on Tuesday 27th May while diving some 3 miles off Munxar Reef.
On that day, the AFM initiated the search with one of its AW139 helicopters. Yesterday, it conducted another two flights with the BN-2T Islander before continuing with the search this morning.
