Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP) helping build much needed homes

Housing project in Luqa

The Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP), launched in 2014, has brought about €1.5 billion in benefits to our country, which have been invested in areas such as health, education and social housing.

A key project in this context is the one in Wied il-Knejjes, Luqa, which includes 46 residences and 58 parking spaces, at a cost of approximately €5 million. Despite criticism and pressure from certain entities, the Maltese Government remains committed to protecting the interests of the people by maintaining a legal framework that allows for the continuation of these social investments, while respecting the decisions of the European Court.
