New facilities inaugurated to better respond to the needs of all children

Lydia Abela visiting childcare centre in Attard

On Autism Day, the Prime Minister’s wife Lydia Abela visited a childcare facility in Attard which, as of today, has begun offering specialized services for children.

This is one of four similar centres opened in the last ten years by entrepreneur Charmaine Caruana.

Each center welcomes approximately 30 children, with 50 professionals working with dedication to provide the best care and education.

During the inauguration of a new sensory room, Dr Abela was able to appreciate from the children and workers of this centre how this facility will continue to improve the services offered.

The Prime Minister’s wife said that this will be another step towards creating an environment that better responds to the needs of all children.

She stressed that it is positive that our country is continuing to offer more services that help children develop in the best possible way and achieve their full potential.

Dr Abela concluded by saying that Malta must continue to be a strong voice for inclusion so that our society continues to offer support and opportunities to everyone.
