In a joint operation between different sections of the Police in Gozo, a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the cultivation of cannabis plants.
Following surveillance on a Nadur residence, this morning the Police entered and found a room equipped with items related to drug cultivation. Around 20 cannabis plants of all sizes and seeds of the same drug were found in the room.
The Magistrate was informed of the discovery and appointed an inquiry, while Police investigations are ongoing with the man being detained under arrest and expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
