Hibernians clinched a vital point in a 1-1 draw against Floriana at the Gozo National Stadium.
Franklin Sasere put Floriana in front after just seven minutes.
They kept their lead until Kristensen fired home the equalisier late in the second half.
The draw means Floriana go level on 19 points at the top with Birkirkara who play Sliema Wanderers on Sunday. It also lifts Hibs to third, two points behind the leaders but they are still within striking distance of Marsaxlokk and Mosta, both on 16 points and just behind them are Sliema on 15 and Zabbar St Patrick and Hamrun Spartans on 14 points.
There are plenty of permutations as to which teams will remain in the top six. It would probably need a magical crystal ball to predict the outcome of this weekend’s crucial matches. What is certain is that none of these sides can afford to drop points as the chase for the Premier title heats up.
