France’s President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer have hosted a ‘Coalition of the Willing’ summit with European leaders in Paris where they have agreed that now is not the time to lift sanctions on Russia.
Macron said European countries will send a “reassurance force” to Ukraine after a peace deal is secured.
Speaking to journalists following the meeting, Sir Keir Starmer said the Russia is playing for time as he reinforced the belief that now is not the time to lift sanctions.
