Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri announcing Easter programme

The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri launched the Easter in Gozo 2025 programme, with activities for the Lenten period starting on 18th March and continuing until 20th April when the feast of Easter Sunday is celebrated.

In collaboration with the community, the Directorate for Cultural Heritage within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning has prepared a varied and organised programme, which includes more than 100 activities spread across the island of Gozo, to make this Easter period an interesting experience for everyone.

Minister Camilleri stressed the importance of Easter as part of the Gozitan identity. “Easter in Gozo is a celebration that unites us as a community and reminds us of the values that distinguish us. It is a time when together we celebrate our faith, strengthen the traditions we have inherited and embrace the beauty of our culture. I believe that with the programme we are presenting we will once again be the natural choice of the Maltese who visit us and of foreigners who once again choose Gozo at this time.”

The calendar of activities includes, among others, processions, sacred functions and cultural performances, which demonstrate the Gozitan community’s commitment to continuing to pass on the values of faith and tradition to future generations. Minister Clint Camilleri concluded by inviting everyone to experience all that Gozo has to offer at this special time of year.
