Police making roads safer for drivers

Police traffic control
Routine traffic inspections, aimed at ensuring road safety, continued throughout the weekend in anticipation of the expected increase in vehicle traffic, particularly towards Gozo, due to carnival.
In the last 3 days, 600 vehicles were inspected, resulting in 45 drivers being fined for driving without a valid license and for using a mobile phone while behind the wheel. 20 additional individuals were similarly penalized for speeding.
These inspections will continue in the coming days and weeks.
