Ħamrun Spartans forward Raphael Lopes has been named the LifeStar MVP for
January.
The Brazilian striker shone throughout the month, scoring a hat-trick in the
champions’ 6-1 demolition of Marsaxlokk.
He was also named MVP in that game and in the following 2-1 victory for the
reigning Champions, over Hibernians.
In total 32 votes submitted, preferences were spread between numerous players,
with Raphael Lopes receiving seven votes (7), three more than Żabbar Saints
defender Strahinja Jovancic with four (4) votes. Several other players receiving one or two votes each.
Lopes received the January MVP trophy from LifeStar Insurance CEO Roberto Apap
Bologna just before kick-off in Ħamrun’s defeat to Melita on Sunday.
