Hibernians and Sliema Wanderers joined Birkirkara and Marsaxlokk at the top of the Premier table with wins over Gzira and Melita respectively.
Hibs came from a goal down to beat ten-man Gzira 4-1.
Gzira had Luis Riascos sent off eight minutes from the end of the first half after hitting Apostolis Martinis but a minute before the break, they were awarded a penalty after Pedrao brought Brooklyn Borg down inside the area and Faysal Chouaib converted.
Hibs drew level five minutes after the break when Khevin Fraga low strike from outside the area was too strong for goalkeeper Cain Formosa.
Three minutes later, Hibs doubled the score when Degagriele set up Lucas Villela who beat Formosa with an angled shot from the left.
Hibernians captain Bjorn Kristensen made it 3-1 on 71 minutes and seven minutes later, substitute Rui Bruno sealed the game with a close range effort from a corner.
Mohamed Abdulahi Awad scored the opener after just three minutes as Sliema beat Melita 4-2. The same player put Sliema two up just before the break.
Moments after the restart, Gustavo Alcino extended Sliema’s lead but Santiago Martinez reduced the gap for Melita just past the hour mark.
Kyrian Nwoko make it 4-1 one minute later but Andre converted a penalty for Melita two minutes in added time.
On Sunday Zabbar St Particks take on Hamrun Spartans while Floriana face Marsaxlokk.
