Jude Bellingham scored England’s winner against Serbia after just 13 minutes to put the Three Lions in control of the first half of their Euro 24 opener.
Good as Engand were in that first period, they had to shut the door at the back and soak up pressure as Serbia probed for an equalisier.
England’s next game in Group B is against Denmark on Thursday. They have firepower up front. It is at the back that manager Gareth Southgate will have to work on before then.
