Tough decisions ahead, warns PM Robert Abela

Speaking on ONE Radio, Prime Minister Robert Abela said he got the message from the people as the Labour Party saw its stranglehold on MEP elections reduced to a meagre 8,000 odd votes.

He said that tough decisions, which should have been made before, needed to be taken now.

Certain areas, such as construction and tourism, particularly the issue of restaurant and cafe seating on pavements, are in the prime ministers sights for a shake-up.

In a veiled warning, he said anyone not pulling their weight could start thinking of another line of work.
