Grand Harbour fireworks display postponed due to strong winds

The show scheduled in Grand Harbour, to mark the twentieth anniversary of Malta’s membership in the European Union, together with the pyrotechnic show, which will bring the International Fire Festival to an end , will not take place on Tuesday, 30 April 2024, but is instead scheduled for Friday, 3 May 2024, from 9pm onwards. This is due to the strong wind predicted for today and tomorrow.

The show, which will commemorate twenty years since Malta became a Member State of the European Union, includes a pyrotechnic display together with a colorful show in the air and a wonderful display by the local talent. The International Fireworks Festival also involves great preparations in Grand Harbour and for security and safety reasons has had to be postponed.

The public is encouraged to attend on the coming Friday, where they can watch this show for free from areas in Port il-Kbir, especially the Liesse side, Valletta.
