Earlier this morning, the Armed Forces of Malta received a 112 call, as 2 people found themselves in difficulty at sea at Wied iż-Żurrieq and needed assistance. The Malta Rescue Coordination Centre immediately dispatched an Armed Forces of Malta helicopter and successfully rescued the people. They were safely handed over to medical staff for further attention.
The Armed Forces of Malta urges the general public to ensure their safety and follow any weather warnings issued.
