The Malta Agrifair 2024 is officially opened

The Malta Agrifair 2024 was opened today, in the presence of the President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono, by the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights Anton Refalo, as well as by the Parliamentary Secretary for -Fishing, Aquaculture, and Animal Rights Alicia Bugeja Said.

The President of Malta, together with the Minister and the Parliamentary Secretary, toured the various exhibits that are being exhibited at this fair, while they were able to appreciate the level that is constantly rising every year. Last year’s fair attracted around 35,000 people who could see up close some local products being offered by local producers.

The Malta Agrifair 2024 will bring together various exhibitors of local products, including farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and other producers who offer their products to Maltese and Gozitan consumers. For this edition, the exhibitors will have the opportunity to expose the Maltese product during this unique celebration in the Maltese Islands. Among the exhibits, there will be various agricultural products, fish and fishing equipment, animal competitions, and also Culinary Malta 2024 with several varied food competitions.

For all the people who will attend this fair, there will be the possibility to taste typically Maltese food and drinks, such as the kirxa and the mazzit offered by the Butchery; chicken, rabbit, and local cheese from the Malta Food Agency; and several local cooperatives that are offering a taste of what they produce. On Saturday 13th April from 5pm onwards there will also be the cattle beauty competitions, and on Sunday 14th April in the morning the sheep competitions and the – goat.

The Malta Agrifair 2024 will be held between 12 and 14 April 2024 inside the MFCC in Ta’ Qali from 10 am to 10 pm.
