Millions of people were plunged into darkness during the daytime on Monday as a total solar eclipse made its way across the United States and eastern Canada, after starting in Mexico.
The earth, the moon and the sun were perfectly aligned leaving the face of the sun totally blanked out, what scientists call “totality”.
Sadly, for people across Europe, the UK and the rest of the world, they missed out on this wonder of the world and will have to wait another 57 years for the next total eclipse.
