Earlier on Thursday afternoon, the Armed Forces of Malta received a 112 call, as 2 minors found themselves in difficulty and needed assistance, after the raft they were on drifted out at sea due to the strong winds in the area. The Malta Rescue Coordination Centre immediately dispatched an Armed Forces of Malta vessel and successfully rescued the minors. Both minors were safely handed over to medical staff for further attention.
The Armed Forces of Malta encourages the general public to ensure their safety and follow any weather warnings issued.
