The Broadcasting Authority has rapped the knuckles of the Public Broadcasting Authority following a complaint lodged by the Nationalist Party that the national broadcaster’s news bulletins had a bias towards the ruling Labour Party.
The Authority found that over a ten month period, PBS carried a majority of government bulletins but only a handful of Opposition Nationalist Party news items.
PBS was instructed to get more balanced reporting or face further consequences.
