The US presidential election looks all but certain to be a repeat of 2020 poll as Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump both swept to victory in nomination contests across the country, in what is commonly known as Super Tuesday.

Incumbent Joe Biden won in 14 states losing only in the US territory of American Samoa.

His only adversary, former president Donald Trump, swept to victory in 12 states but lost Vermont to his only remaining opponent for the Republican nomination, Nikki Haley.

There are still a large number of other states yet to cast their votes but barring anything un-for-seen, it will surely be Biden versus Trump on the ballot paper come November.
