Hibernians were denied three precious points as Birkirkara struck late into extra time to earn a point in a 1-1 draw at Ta’Qali.
Subsititute Isiah Chukunyere puts Hibs in front with only five minutes of normal time remaining only to see Andrea Zammit hit B’Kara level on the 95th minute. A point apiece in a tight game.
Goals in each half saw Sliema Wanderers emerge 2-1 winners over Marsaxlokk.
Yuri de Jesus Messias gave Marsaxlokk the lead with only ten minutes on the clock but ten minutes later it was 1-1 thanks to Samuel Gomes da Mata.
The winner for Sliema came on the hour mark from Joachim Adukor.
The win edges Sliema closer to Floriana in second place though the Greens have a game in hand. Defeat sees Marsaxlokk fall back towards the advancing Hibernians.
