Ten residents of the Agency for Corrective Services have successfully accomplished a hospitality course that has provided them with new skills.
The course was held with the collaboration of the Institute for Tourism Studies and was conducted by two professional lecturers and included kitchen work and the delivery of good service in a restaurant.
The Minister for Internal Affairs, Security, Reforms and Equality, Byron Camilleri, said these types of initiatives are of great faith in the rehabilitation of such inmates.
The Minister for Tourism and Public Cleansing, Clayton Bartolo, said the students not only took part in this intrinsic rehabilitation programme but additionally this is an investment in their future once they have completed their corrective term.
