The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri launched the program of activities related to St. Valentine’s Day which this year will be spread over five days from the 14th to the 18th of February 2024.
Valentine’s Day forms an integral part of the Gozitan cultural calendar and despite the fact that this year it is being celebrated the day after Carnival, a number of activities have been organized over five days. Gozo has established itself as a destination for all year round and this is evidenced by the thousands of visitors, both local and international, who are choosing Gozo for their holidays.
“Through the vast cultural calendar we are ensuring that Gozo continues to be a sought-after tourist destination, in an equally competitive sector. The research is showing that nowadays, the profile of the tourist has changed from what we were traditionally used to because he is looking for destinations that offer added value for what he is paying. That is why as a Ministry we have invested and are continuing to invest in the cultural aspect that our country offers, which apart from the natural beauty, is also endowed with a lot of talent,” Minister Camilleri said.
The Minister concluded by saying that he is convinced that with the commitment of all stakeholders, once again Gozo will have another productive year in the tourism sector. This while he reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to create a positive experience for visitors together with the operators in this equally important area for Gozo.
