The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri visited the works done in Triq it-28 ta April, il-Qala. In this main road, the drainage, water and electricity systems have been rebuilt, which services pass directly under this road, particularly the electricity that supplies the rest of Gozo. Apart from this, the storm water culvert network was extended in order to alleviate the flooding that flooded Pjazza San Đuzepp and the surrounding streets.
This road is precisely the main road that takes you from the village of Qala to the beach of Hondoq ir-Rummien.
Minister Clint Camilleri stated that the type of infrastructure that has been used on this road takes into account the increasing demand. “The work done on this road does not consist only of the asphalt but incorporates sustainable planning in order to continue to improve the quality of life of the residents, this time Qalin,” repeated Minister Camilleri.
Mayor of Qala Paul Buttigieg thanked the Ministry for the work done to fix this road both for the residents and for everyone who makes use of it.
Minister Clint Camilleri concluded by saying that the infrastructural work will continue and intensify around Gozo so that there will be more safe and high-quality roads suitable for Gozo and everyone who visits the island.
