Speaker receives a courtesy call by the Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman of the United Kingdom

The Speaker of the House of Representatives received a courtesy call by Mr Rob Behrens, CBE, the Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman of the United Kingdom, who was accompanied by Parliamentary Ombudsman of Malta Judge Emeritus Joseph Zammit McKeon.

Amongst other themes of high importance, reference was made to the upcoming Thematic Lecture which Mr Behrens will be delivering in Parliament tomorrow, the 6th of February 2024, titled ‘The Parliamentary Ombudsman Experience: Reflections on the Past & Present. Looking to the Future’, focusing on the role of the Ombudsman in promoting government accountability and supporting democracy.

Speaker Farrugia was accompanied by the Clerk of the House, Ms Eleanor Scerri.
