The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri visited Dar San Ļużepp in Għajnsielem, a project that will be completed in a few more weeks as the works of M&Es, finishings and furnishings are almost all completed.
In fact, next March this house built on more than three acres will welcome the first 120 elderly residents.
“In about another month Dar San Jüzepp will start operating. During the last five months we have kept our word and the works will not only be finished but we will be at a stage to start operating this house. Therefore, in a few more days they will open the applications for all Gozitans who wish to enter this home for the elderly,” Minister Camilleri stated.
St. Joseph’s House will consist of 120 beds in all en suite rooms spread over four levels, with views of the countryside and the sea. The house will be of the highest standard and accessible and will consist of large areas of social spaces as well as outdoor green spaces.
Natalie Briffa Farrugia, the Chairperson of Vassallo Group, encouraged the elderly and their relatives to apply for this house in Għajnsielem which will be of the highest standard and will have the best services for older people
“Dar San Đuzepp will not only start operating but it will be a house of the highest level, with the highest standards because that is what suits the people of Gozo and the residents who will be living in it,” concluded Minister Camilleri.
