Two people were arrested on Friday in separate police operations.
A 37-year-old Romanian was arrested after 15 kilos of suspected cocaine were found in his possession with a value of around €2 million. The drugs were found in a vehicle which had just arrived by catamaran from Sicily.
In another operation, this time in Mellieħa, a 36-year-old man from Serbia was arrested in connection with an investigation related to the cultivation of cannabis in a residence. After observing the residence, police entered and found more than 150 large cannabis trees inside.
